Map 90 Days of Content in One Sitting

Your content doesn’t have to be constant chaos. Here's how to plan 3 months of strategic content in one focused session.

Why Planning Ahead Matters

Trying to post content every week without a plan? It’s a fast track to burnout, or bland content that doesn't connect. When you plan 90 days out, you free up mental space, stay aligned with your business goals, and create more impact with less stress.

This guide walks you through the exact steps we use at Amplifi to build content calendars that work.

Step 1: Pick a Goal That Leads the Way

Every content plan should support something bigger. What are you trying to drive over the next 90 days?

Examples:

  • Launching a new service?

  • Driving leads to your newsletter?

  • Establishing authority in your niche?

Don’t start posting just to post. Know your goal, then reverse-engineer your plan.

Step 2: Choose 3–5 Content Pillars

Your content pillars are the categories or themes you’ll rotate through. Think of them like lanes on a highway: clear, consistent, and strategic.

Examples:

  • Behind-the-scenes / company culture

  • Client results or case studies

  • Educational tips

  • Industry commentary

  • Personal perspective / leadership voice

Pro tip: Make sure each one ties back to your audience’s needs and your brand’s expertise.

Step 3: Brain Dump 30–50 Ideas

Once you have pillars, generate ideas that support each one. Don’t self-edit here, just dump.

Try:

  • “What questions does our audience keep asking?”

  • “What stories haven’t we told?”

  • “What do people need to hear right now?”

Use voice notes, sticky notes, or a Notion board, whatever gets ideas out of your head.

Step 4: Draft Your 90-Day Calendar

Time to plug in your ideas. We like to work in weekly formats: 2–3 posts per week is a solid cadence.

In a table or spreadsheet, create:

  • Date

  • Platform

  • Topic

  • Format (reel, carousel, blog, email)

  • CTA

Balance your content across pillars, sprinkle in timely content, and leave a few flexible slots.

Step 5: Batch Create Your Core Assets

Now that your calendar’s mapped out, pick a 1–2 day window to create your first month’s worth of content.

Need help?

  • Write captions in batches

  • Record videos in one sitting

  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form pieces

You don’t need to do it all in one day. Just front-load the heavy lifting.

Step 6: Schedule and Monitor

Use tools like Buffer, Later, or Notion + reminders to schedule and track.

Check performance every few weeks:

  • What’s working?

  • What’s getting saved, shared, or clicked?

  • What felt easy to create—and what didn’t?

Adjust your next 90-day sprint based on what you learn.

Closing CTA:

Feeling stuck or ready to hand this off?

We help brands map, create, and execute content plans that connect and convert, without the chaos.
